The Salvation Army

During my time within The Salvation Army's in-house creative studio, I developed accessible, audience-focused communications across campaigns, editorial, fundraising and internal communications. Working with stakeholders across the organisation, I translated complex briefs into clear visual solutions across print and digital channels while maintaining brand consistency and accessibility standards.

Designing for different audiences without losing the brand.

Working within The Salvation Army's in-house creative studio gave me the opportunity to deliver communications across campaigns, fundraising, editorial, events and internal communications.

I worked collaboratively with teams across the organisation, translating a wide range of briefs into accessible and engaging visual solutions across print and digital channels. Each project required a balance of creativity, clarity, brand consistency and the practical realities of working within a fast-paced studio.

The Self-Denial campaign was designed to build awareness of The Salvation Army's work while encouraging readers to actively participate.

The aim of the Self-denial campaign was to bring awareness to the current work, and encourage readers to participate and be a part of the event, the widgets designed were used to highlight activities that readers could take part in, the banner created allowed me to easily update for further stories that would aid in building the narrative for the campaign.

Editorial design required a different balance of personality, structure and accessibility.

Working across recurring publications meant creating layouts that could accommodate different types and volumes of content while remaining visually engaging and easy to navigate. I used typography, imagery, hierarchy and spacing to give each story its own character while maintaining consistency with the wider publication and brand.

Versatility without losing Identity.
