I wanted the cover to feel more like a contemporary thriller than a traditional fairytale, using a grittier visual language and cinematic references to shift expectations around a familiar character and story.

The concept began with the instability of a house of cards.
I used that idea as a visual metaphor for the uncertainty and turmoil surrounding Alice, creating a cover that suggests a world which could collapse or transform at any moment.
